The pilot project will conduct an HIV stratified, non-random sampling of 1,000 individuals within five subcategories: ambulatory, bedridden, blind, deaf and intellectually (200) disabled. Ages will range from 16-50, male and female, residing in Kitwe, Zambia.
Prevalence rates will be measured against well-established public baselines within the same geographic area.
Those having a positive return will be linked to a local clinic for immediate follow-up regarding treatment.
